I know parents hate to wash white clothing used for sports. But, think about how much cooler your child will feel when playing a game out in the hot sun. Why do we not wear dark colors on sunny days? Because it is hotter, and then we forget when ordering them uniforms. You can get some bright neon colors available or a nice medium color, but you do not have to buy black, dark blue, and dark colored T-Shirts, there are many others that will work just fine to keep your kids cooler. And I do think it is so worth thinking about when you are purchasing them.

I have a question for all you soap makers out there. I’ve been doing some research and I know that there are any number of techniques for making homemade soaps. I also know that there are advantages and disadvantages to each. I’m thinking of making some homemade soaps and wanted to know from you guys what your best recommendation might be for someone just starting out. I’m thinking that I’m probably going to go the cold process route because hot process makes me nervous. The recipe will be very simple with only a few oils to start with and I’m going to use a spoon instead of a stick blender. So bearing those things in mind, does anyone have any suggestions around the best approach for a soapy newbie?
