My wife has gone away on an extended vacation. She is visiting with our daughter that just had a baby. While she is away, I have been busy. I have been working with a contractor and have completely remodeled the master bathroom. She has no idea that I’ve done this, but I’m certain she’ll love it. I spent a lot of time looking at the many bathing tubs that are available and finally ended up with a beautiful claw foot tub. The tub is set into a little alcove with a bay window looking out at the garden. I can’t wait for her to see it.

We were at Belk’s today and one of the makeup counters was offering free make up tips. I had no intention of stopping because I feel they always over do it. However, my friend Amanda wanted to stop. By the time we walked away, she’d spent almost $200 on makeup alone. I would never have spent that kind of money on makeup. But, then again, I’m more of an au natural type of gal. If it looks like I”m wearing blush, that probably means I’ve just been out in the wind. I just don’t have the time to be bothered with it.

In an age where more people are using cell phones as their only source of a telephone plan, I think it’s pretty important that you can actaully get service in your own house. My friend came over to my house a while back, and couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw that he had absolutely no service on his cell phone in my house. He’s on a different network than I am, and apparently it’s not the only time it’s happend to him. He said he’s been looking for plans with better coverage and service and the best he’s found so far has been boost mobile because they have a pretty good range of service, and it’s cheaper than the plan he has now. The fact that he’s spending top dollar on a phone with service that doesn’t even have bars in my house, is beyond me. I think Boost Mobile would serve him much better.
