In my family, Halloween is a big deal. We start talking about costumes and planning our party in September, and the Halloween Countdown begins in earnest at the beginning of October. On some days, we do things such as carve pumpkins, bake treats, or buy candy. On others, we may do something like make up scary stories and tell them to each other.
