Edwardian Period
March 11th, 2009
the Edwardian Period existed after Queen Victoria’s death and up until the end of the first world war. It’s a time of growth, of leaving behind the sometimes harsh attitudes of the Victorians, and entering a new era in the new century, opening minds, broadening attitudes and generally getting ready for the future in which we now live. The Edwardian period was the foundation for so much of our modern life, from processed foods, to cars, transportation systems, etc. They all appeared in the late Victorian era, but really started to establish themselves during the Edwardian times. IT is a fascinating time of expansion and a very important one to understand today’s world.
