Now that all the kids are grown up, we have started a little family tradition. Growing up my father owned a small business on Main Street, and he was always so happy when the locals came in to support his business rather than going to the larger chain restaurants. What we decided to do is pick out a restaurant from the hartford advocate best of list and show local support. It’s something we do every year to honor our fathers memory and keep his spirit alive. Plus I am sure the local business appreciate the business as well. Times are tough right now and every little bit helps!
