Lake Carmi State Park Vermont Tourism Idea
February 2nd, 2009
Do you like to have fresh walleye or northern pike at your campsite? Do you find the challenge of catching those beautiful fish a great way to relax and enjoy the great outdoors? If so you may want to look at Vermont tourism and a visit to Lake Carmi State Park for your next family vacation. The lake is 7.5 miles around with an average depth of 20 feet so it’s the ideal place to catch the warm water species and fry them up over the campfire for dinner.Although the lake was once much larger the last ice age leaned it our and filled the southern end of the lake with silt and vegetative matter to create wetland forests and the third largest peat bog in the state of Vermont. It is a designated State Natural Area and a wonderful place to study nature. There are camping sites, lean-to sites and 2 cabins at the park which makes Lake Carmi the states largest campground. Come and enjoy the adventure of fishing in Vermont and check out the other Vermont tourism opportunities waiting for you in the great northeast!
