I do not know a lot about roofing, so when my roof started sagging I had to call a professional to repair it. I did not want to get up there and just make things worse. First of all the material whose hardness is to be tested is taken. A minor load is applied to this test material through the intender. After that the major load is applied. So there will be a depth of penetration. The major load is removed then but not the minor load. This will give us the permanent penetration depth. We subtract this value from a constant & thus get the hardness number. More this hardness number harder the material is. The constant depend on the indenter. Lubrication is very important for automated garage doors because there are too many moving parts working inside these doors and if they get dry then, your whole door will start to malfunction. Lubrication is not very complex job and you can do it without any professional help. You just need to open the main box of your door which is usually located above the door, and locate moving parts like pulleys, springs and others. Once you locate these parts then, lubricate them with a brush but do not over lubricate them as it will make them greasy and they will start to experience jerks.
