Alabama Health Insurance — Medicaid And COBRA?

July 12th, 2009

If you have problems getting regular Alabama health insurance then check if you fit into these: If you earn little then you may be eligible for Medicaid. The criteria for eligibility differ with each state. However, the fundamental rule is that you must be a low-income earner. Having a job does not make you ineligible. It would lower your spend if you or any family member qualifies. Therefore, check with your state’s Medicaid program. Also, the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985 (COBRA) insurance is a good alternative for affordable coverage if you have a pre-existing condition that makes regular individual health plan hard to get or too expensive.
