It is made by placing a layer of protective film on the back to prevent it from breaking as easy and thus lowering the chances of injury if broken. A very popular kind of mirror is the low aluminum glass mirror. A silver coating along with two layers of protective paint go on the back of the mirror. The result is a clear, smooth, light transmissive image. It also has very precise natural colors.
