Susie’s Playhouse

My friend Susie had the best house to go and play at when I was a small girl. I would beg my parents to let me go over to her house so we could play house. They usually wanted Susie to come to our house, since they had stricter standards than Susie’s parents, but I knew that we would have more fun at Susie’s house. It wasn’t that we wanted to get away with anything. No, Susie just had this huge playhouse in the backyard. She got it when her parents got a deal on two Los Angeles sheds and had to decide what to do with the second one. So, one became the shed and one was converted into a playhouse. Playing with Susie in that house is one of the best memories I have from my childhood.
