Importance of Fathers in the Home

My brother is a professor of Family Studies and has done extensive research on the effect of having a strong father figure in the home. It is no surprise for anyone who is familiar with mormon doctrine to know that his and others’ findings on this matter show that there is an overwhelming effect for the positive to have a good father figure. This is because families are the eternal organizational unit of the gospel. Properly organized families will still be intact in the next life. Families in this life who are without strong mothers and/or fathers suffer the loss of strong bonds and examples.
