The Downfall Of Math Problems, The Calculator!
January 20th, 2010
One way to get better at math is to practice. I know that when I was in school we did allot of repetitive things, like write the times tables several times each night. I am not sure when that stopped, but I think that kids would do much better in math if they had to actually do the math problems. It is easy to do them with a calculator, but what do you learn when you do them that way? Nothing, that is what you learn. Except maybe how to push buttons. We were not allowed to use them when I went to school, but then again, did they have them then?
