Why Custom CNC Machining Will Change Your Life

I wanted to write a quick bit on something that I have really thought about a lot lately. I have a friend who owns a metal milling shop and we had a very interesting conversation.  I asked about what he did, how it all worked, and what kind of business he did. I made some very interesting discoveries. He is in the metal cutting business. His shop has some custom cnc machining capabilities that are top of the line. These amazing machines are able to input data and spit out a finished metal product, cut to exact specifications. I was really amazed to learn that.

It was also interesting to see what these custom machines were capable of. Have you ever opened your hood and looked at all of the complex metal parts under there. My friend showed me a gear prototype that was about the size of a nickel.  The cuts were tiny, yet perfectly refined.  I was grateful for the fact that we have these machines to make our lives easier.
