Insurance for Cruise Lines

Would it be worth it for me to take out a vacation insurance package on my upcoming cruise? Recently I was watching a news program and they had a segment on cruise lines. Because sometimes you can not predict the weather they recommended that you get insurance in case something goes array with the vacation. Not only just the cruise ship but I have my doubts about the airlines as well and what if I can not get to the shop on time and I miss the vacation altogether. Am I being too paranoid or should I just buy the insurance and hope for the best with protection.
