Lake Chapala Real Estate Law

June 30th, 2009

So I am not sure if what I heard is true, and since it really is another country altogether, I would like to find out before I actually buy any real estate in Mexico. I have actually heard that this is true in Costa Rica as well, but is it true that you buy the building in Mexico and not necessarily the land that it is on? I am very interested in buying Lake Chapala Real Estate but I am concerned that I really am buying only the structure on the land and the government can take the land away if they see the need for it.
